This Privacy Policy describes how Lao.London (the "Site", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or make a purchase from Lao.london (the "Site") or otherwise communicate with us regarding the Site (collectively, the "Services"). What Personal Information We Collect

The types of personal information we obtain about you depends on how you interact with our Site and use our Services. The following sections describe the categories and specific types of personal information we collect.

Purchasing from Lao.London

  • You do not have to have an account in order to purchase goods from Lao.London.  When you add items to your cart, a file is created on our server which stores details of your purchases. This file is linked uniquely to your browsing session and cannot be viewed by anyone else.
  • When you complete your order, we ask for personal information about you, such as your full name, address, e-mail address, phone number and credit card details. This data will only be shared with our payment service provider and courier services, and only for the purposes of processing and shipping your order.
  • All sensitive and personal data is transmitted via an industry standard 256-bit secure socket layer (SSL) connection.
  • We collect anonymous, non-personal data, such as how many times a product is viewed or purchased, in order to continually enhance our website to suit the browsing trends of our users.

Storing Payment Information

  • By default, the Lao.London website does not store any of your payment information following a purchase being made.
  • However, during the checkout process you will be given an option to "Save my information for a faster checkout".  If selected, your personal information (including payment details), will be stored by Shopify (who operate the platform the Lao.London website is built upon).

Lao.London E-mail Subscription

  • You have the option to subscribe to the Lao.London e-mail service which sends out periodic e-mail updates and promotions for Lao.London products only.
  • In such instances, your e-mail address will only be used by Lao.London for this purpose and not shared with any 3rd parties.

Your Data

  • We do not automatically collect personal data about you.
  • We do not collect information about you from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organisations.
  • We do not share any personal data with any 3rd part organisation or institution, except for the purposes of processing your order as detailed above, or if required to do so by law.

3. COOKIES

Like many websites, we use Cookies on our Site. For specific information about the Cookies that we use related to powering our store with Shopify, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. We use Cookies to power and improve our Site and our Services (including to remember your actions and preferences), to run analytics and better understand user interaction with the Services (in our legitimate interests to administer, improve and optimize the Services).

4. EXTERNAL WEBSITES

This policy only applies to Lao.London.  Where an external website has been linked to from the Lao.London, a different policy may apply.

  • The Lao.London website uses a 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection that encrypts all the traffic flowing between users and the website.
  • The Lao.London website is PCI DSS compliant at Level 1, which is the highest level any merchant can reach.
  • The security of the underlying platform in which the Lao.London website is built upon is provided by Shopify.
